Chicken curry is a delicious dish which goes good for any meal of the day from breakfast, lunch or dinner. This curry can be had with idly, dosa, biriyani or paratha.

Ingredients
Chicken – 300 grams
Mustard seeds – 1/8 tsp
Shallots – 15
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Tomatoe – 1
Curry leaves – 10
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Cloves – 4
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Chicken kolambu masala – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Salt

 
Method

Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add in the mustard seed and once they splutter add the curry leaves. Add the spices (cinnamon, clove, fennel seeds) and stir them until nice aroma comes out. To this add the finely chopped shallots and saute them for a while until they turn transparent.

Now add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the oil leaves the sides, add in the chopped tomato. A pinch of salt is added to let them cook quickly. 

Add the chicken pieces and mix well, now add the coriander powder, cumin powder, Chilli powder, chicken kolambu masala.

 

Add water according to the required consistency. Now add salt and allow it to cook for 3 to 4 whistles. Delicious and quick chicken curry is ready to serve with hot steamed rice , paratha, idly or dosa!
