Pancakes are undoubtedly everyone’s favourite and quick breakfast meal. How about a savoury Indian rice pancake? That will be a good option to replace the unhealthy maida with rice and urad dhal batter which is the idly / dosa batter!

Preparation time – 5 mins

Cooking time – 10 mins

Serves – 2

Idly / dosa batter  – 5 ladle
Egg – 1

Take the required quantity of idly/ dosa batter and add in an egg and mix throughly. Leave it to rest for 5 mins. 

Heat a tawa and make pancakes, cook on both sides for 2 to 3 mins.

Enjoy these savoury pancakes with sambar!
