Idly upma is yet another delicious and simple dish that can be made in minutes. There had been times when we make extra idly just to make this delicious idly upma for the next meal.

Idly – 8
Onion – 1
Green Chilli – 2
Mustard seed – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 10 leaves
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Split urad dhal – 1 tbsp
Take the idly and crumble them with your fingers and keep it aside.
In a Kadai keep some oil, once it is hot add in the mustard seeds, when they splutter add the curry leaves and split urad dhal and fry them until the urad dhal changes colour to golden brown.
Now add the green Chilli , turmeric powder and onion and saute until the onions turn transparent!
The crumbled idly is now added and mixed well, switch off the flame and serve hot. They are best all by itself!
