Tried the chicken popcorn as few of my friends asked for party food and also chicken recipe (the first in my list of non-veg recipes). To mention this is my first deep fried snack recipes well. Preparation time -10 mins

Cooking time – 20 mins

Serves – 5

Chicken breast – 400 grams
Turmeric powder – 1/8 tsp
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Milk – 100 ml
Egg white – 1
All purpose flour – 200 grams
Bread crumbs – 100 grams


Take the chicken and cut them into bite size pieces. Marinate the chicken with salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder. Keep it aside for at least 30 mins.


In a bowl take the milk and pour the egg white and mix well.


Take the all purpose flour and bread crumbs in 2 plates.


Now dip the chicken pieces in milk and pat them well in the flour (you may want to repeat this step twice to get a juicy inside and a crispy outside).


Finally coat them well in the bread crumbs and deep fry them in a Kadai.

Delicious popcorn chicken is ready to be served. Can enjoy with your favourite chilli sauce or ketchup. It will get over in minutes at home or you can plan this snack for a party. It is a sure hit with children!
