Let’s make a quick and simple side dish for dosa or idli with just few ingredients.
Preparation time – 2 mins
Cooking time – 3 mins
Serves – 3
Yogurt – 1 cup
Oil – For tadka
Mustard seeds – 1/8 tsp
Channa dal – 1/2 tsp
Dry red chilly – 1 (slit into 2)
Onion – 1/2 (finely chopped)
Take the yogurt in a bowl and add salt to taste and dilute it a bit with some water if the yogurt is thick.
In a tadka pan heat some oil and add in the mustard seeds, once they splutter add the channa dal.
To this add the slit Chilli followed by the onions, saute until the onions turn transparent. Switch off the flame and transfer this to the bowl of yogurt.
Enjoy this delicious yogurt side dish with dosa or idli. It’s good for your tummy and can be prepared quickly.
