Aval payasam is a quick yet delicious payasam which can be made in minutes. This is one of the neivedhayam offered to lord Krishna on Sri Krishna janmashtami.
Preparation time – 2 mins

Cooking time – 10 mins

Serves – 4
Aval – 1 cup
Ghee – 2 tsp
Milk – 2 cups
Brown sugar – 6 to 7 tsp

Fry the aval in ghee for 2 to 3 mins until they slightly change in colour. Then pour the milk and allow it to cook for 5 minutes in medium flame until the aval is cooked and soft. Now add sugar and give it a nice stir. Allow it to cook for 2 mins in a Low flame and switch off the flame.

We can even add milk maid to make the payasam more yummy and rich.
