Last week while having a smiley cream biscuit, thought why not try the dosa also this way. But was not sure of what filling I could use. Did not want to use ingredients which kids will have to take out before they eat or something that they may not like.

Cheese is undoubtedly every kids favourite. So decided to combine cheese with the healthy dosa, making the kids just want to have.

Preparation time: 5 mins

Cooking time :  15 mins

Ingredients (Serves : 3)
Idli / dosa batter – 1 cup
Cheese – 3 slices
Oil – to make each dosa

 
Method

Heat the tawa and pour a laddle of batter and make a medium size dosa and allow it to cook once it is done on one side, with a spoon make 2 eyes and a smiley mouth.

Flip the dosa to the other side and cook until done.

Make another dosa as u would normally do and switch off the flame. Now take a cheese slice and cut into 3 pieces, 2 squares and a rectangle.

Place the square pieces for the eyes and rectangle for the mouth. Switch on the flame and keep the first piece of dosa in a way that the cheese will ooze out of the eyes and mouth once they start melting. Heat the dosa for a minute by keeping a lid.

Kids will really love it as the cheese is sandwiched and oozes out. It can be had with a vegetable of their choice or any sambar chutney.
