Just Milo for morning breakfast? That’s not enough. Lets pack it with some nutrients and carbs to start the day with enough energy. Milo is a popular drink in most parts of the world. It is one of my favourite childhood energy drink. Bread gives us the carbohydrates. Palm candy is a substitute for refined sugar. It is low in GI and is iron rich, thus good for anemic people. It has many medicinal values. Reduces the body heat when had with milk and also treats any urinary infections and related problems. Strawberries are nutrient rich and packed with antioxidants. The juicy and delicious fruit offers a number of health benefits. Chocolate and strawberry is a classic combination.

Bread – 4 slices
Milo – 3 tbsp
Milk – 250 ml
Palm candy – 1 tbsp
Strawberry – 5


Take some milk and add the Palm candy. Allow the milk to boil. The Palm candy in the milk will dissolve. If required give it a nice stir depending on the size of the palm candy used.

The bread slices should be cut to bite size pieces and taken in a bowl. Now filter the milk (any residues in the palm candy is removed) and add it to the bread. Add the Milo and give it a good mix, now add the chopped strawberries and enjoy this wholesome breakfast. White bread can be replaced by whole meal or wheat bread to increase the nutrition value of the breakfast.
