Tomato rice is a popular South Indian variety rice. It is great for lunch box and it is the Favourite travel food. It can be had with potato or potato chips. Tomatoes are juicy, delicious and loaded with many health benefits. Tomatoes are rich source of antioxidant.

Ingredients
Tomato – 1
Garlic – 2 to 3 cloves
Ginger – 1/2 inch
Small onion – 4 to 5
Dry red chilly – 1
Cinnamon – 1/2 inch
Clove – 3
Fennel seeds –1/4 tsp
Salt

 
Method

In a mixer grinder add in all the ingredients and grind it to a fine paste. 

In a Kadai heat some oil add the mustard seeds, when they splutter add in the paste from the mixer.

Keep stirring until the paste is cooked (will take from 7 to 10 mins), and they leave the sides of the Kadai.

Mix the paste with cooked rice and add some salt and oil if required while mixing. Yummy tomato rice is ready to serve!
